Austin Family Tree

The purpose of this web site is to share and gather information about the Austin family of Hampshire, (England).
Research has centred on Romsey with links to Mottisfont, West Wellow, Sherfield English and with later movement to the Southampton area.

In general the on-ine web site has a cut-off date of 100 years to comply with UK legislation.

As of August 2010 I am starting to amend and update this project. I have begun by replying to e-mails received since Jackie died.

Each page generally shows one family - parents and children. Where a family has been further researched, the name will appear in blue. Click on these names to link to further information. If you are not sure where to start look at the 'list of names'.
For best viewing switch off the 'history' side panel and view at 800 x 600 resolution, or greater, on 15" and 17" monitors.

Robert AUSTIN c1680 .... John AUSTIN 1712 ..

This is our starting point for the time being, we have had information that John was born in 1712 and died in 1744 some 8 months before his daughter, Rachel, was born (or christened?).
John's father was Robert AUSTIN circa 1680.
